Well, if you never heard about Yalaha before, it’s about time for you to learn some very interesting things. Yalaha was founded in 1876. It is situated right at the southern bank of Lake Harris in Lake County, Florida, surrounded by small hills. About 12 miles southeast of Yalaha along the western shore of Lake Apopka there is the Sugarloaf Mountain, which is the highest elevation on the peninsula of Florida at 312 feet above sea level. Only Britton Hill (345 feet above sea level) in the panhandle of Florida is higher.
